About Canterberry Acres
At Canterberry Acres you will find a friendly, safe and fun riding experience for all ages and abilities. We are proud to offer Special Needs and beginner through advanced lessons.
Our Services
We offer horseback riding lessons for all abilities including adults and children with Special Needs, boarding, birthday parties, Back to Basics program, summer program and fun family events.

Horseback Riding Lessons
All lessons are taught by Massachusetts Licensed Riding Instructors. We offer indoor and outdoor lessons (weather permitting), which include beginner through advanced Balanced seat, and Hunt Seat/Jumper/Equitation. Lessons are taught 7 days a week with flexible schedules and are private.

Boarding
We offer full board 24/7 private paddocks with sheds for your horse. Includes use of our 120' x 60' indoor arena, outdoor arena, round pen, three fields, trails, hay 3x daily, fresh water daily, supplement feeding and storage areas for tack and equipment.

Special Needs Program
We are thrilled to offer this program which includes our Back to Basics component for children and adults with special needs, such as those with physical, emotional, psychological, sensory and behavioral disabilities. Also great for first responders and military/veterans.

Birthday Parties
Have your child's birthday party on the farm! We have both an outdoor and indoor riding arena as well as a heated sitting room so parties can be held year around. Parties include 2-3 hour time slot(depends on group size), use of 2 ponies/horses, Paper goods, juice boxes/waters, helmet usage(mandatory) and pony personnel.

Back to Basics: Basic Farming Skills
Participants will learn about the ways of the farm and what it takes from start to finish to grow fresh produce. This will include soil preparation, planting, harvesting and everything in between.

Back to Basics: Animal Care and Horsemanship
Participants will be able to learn the importance and responsibility of taking care of some of the farm animals. This can include watering, grooming a pony/horse, collecting eggs and cleaning the goat pen. Basic to advanced, this program can go as far as you like including horseback riding and instruction.
Our Instructors
All of our instructors are Massachusetts Licensed Riding Instructors and have many years of equestrian experience as well as all are educated in the human services fields. Their areas of study include Speech and Audio Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Social and Rehabilitation Services.
